From ancient mythology to modern meme culture, dogs have followed us through time as loyal companions, working partners, and reflections of ourselves.
In this exhibition, the dog becomes both subject and muse, offering a rich ground for artistic interpretation across a wide range of mediums — including painting, illustration, textile, sculpture, and mixed media.
The works on view explore the dog’s many roles and together, they form a layered portrait not only of the animal itself, but of the deep and complex relationships we form with the non-human beings who shape our lives.
The exhibition is organized by Ruth Bartlett, curated by Sigurrós Eiðsdóttir.
