FOYERcontemporary invites you to Afternoon Art - a retrospective look at FOYERcontemporary's praxis since 2022.
FOYERcontemporary is an independent, nomadic non-profit contemporary art space founded in 2022. They work site-specifically in semi-public environments: foyers, staircases, cinemas, façades, cafés, and urban spaces. FOYERcontemporary operates at the intersection of art, architecture, and everyday life. By working outside the traditional white cube, they bring contemporary art into existing sites such as Park Bio, Lake House, and Café SandØ on Christianshavn. Here, movement, sound, light, and social presence become integral components of each work.
The afternoon consists of a screening of selected projects and exhibitions over time, followed by a conversation on the positioning of art.
Afternoon Art is an informal yet focused format, where reflection and dialogue are shared over a glass of wine.
