Finissage of the exhibition HRTLND by photographer and visual artist Mads Holm. Final show of the performance Self-fulfilling Prophecy, bar and conversation afterwards.
HRTLND is a series of 81 photographs and 5 perspective essays. Shot in 20 European and North American countries over the last 10 years (2013-2023), the photographs depict situations from modern cities, demonstrations, new technology, architecture, infrastructure, borderlands and a brand new, abandoned urban military training facility in northern Germany.
Together, the works create an image of 2025, focusing on an ongoing technological and social upheaval of our international society and public discourse - a pervasive sense of war in the Western world, leading to all kinds of mobilization - geopolitical, military, private, cultural, mental, physical, linguistic.
During the finissage there will be a talk between Mads Holm and the curator of the exhibition, Matthias Borello.
