Explore 51 studios and experience a day of art, process, and encounters with the people behind it.
At the center of this year’s Open House is the next generation, with an exhibition featuring 12 emerging artists and designers from FABRIKKEN’s studio programme for newly graduated artists and designers. Curated by artist and curator David Risley, the exhibition unfolds throughout the building, with works integrated into its spaces and daily rhythms. Reflecting the diversity of the artists themselves, it resists a single narrative—embracing difference rather than defining it.
Let the exhibition lead you through the building and into its many workspaces, where practices range from textiles and performance to design and digital media. Meet the artists, hear about their work, and gain insight into processes rarely accessible to the public.
From 14–17, children—and their adults—can join an open workshop in the great hall and try their hand at making. Because who comes after the next generation?
Open House is a vibrant and informal invitation to neighbors, art lovers, and the ones curious to get closer to art—and to those shaping its future.
