When Denmark's largest studio building for professional artists and designers opens its doors on Saturday, May 25, we will for the first time conclude the event with a collective performative long-table dinner.
This year, under the theme REGENERATIVE COMMUNITIES, performance art is at the heart of conversations and inspiration for thinking regeneratively with art as a starting point.
Artist Signe Vad has curated a two-part program for this year’s Open House at FABRIKKEN that activates the large production hall together with artists, local stakeholders at Sundholm, and guests. In the program's second part, everyone is invited to gather and share a collective, vegan dinner with four servings, interwoven with short performances by artists who work daily from their studios at FABRIKKEN for Kunst og Design.
Participation in the long-table dinner from 6-8 pm costs 80 DKK and requires registration. The first part of FABRIKKEN's Open House from 3-6 pm is free and features open studios, talks, performances, and a creative workshop for children (see separate event). The day is organized in collaboration with Activity House Sundholm, Maskinhallen, and Bybi, and is supported by Amager Vest & Øst Local Councils.
