Taking as its starting point a personal archive of images - places the artist has lived and people he has spent time with - the exhibition features new oil paintings depicting domestic interiors and portraits of men. Each painting is based on a photograph selected from this archive.
By translating these images, and the memories and feelings they conjure, into the language of paint, Silva eternalizes moments from his past and creates new meaning. Silva has a MA in Fine Art from Royal College, London and has works in following collections Government Art Collection, British Council, British Airways, Collection Simmons & Simmons, The Saatchi Collection and The Tate.
