Women move through the works. They hold, stand, carry, push, and gaze out through dense layers of vegetation. They are often depicted in stylized and agile postures, intertwining with plants, patterns, hands, and eyes without bodies. It resembles a kind of expressionist cubism, where humans, nature, and emotions merge into a stylized expression with clear lines and forms. We are individuals within a network of connection and history.
The exhibition is rooted in a personal exploration of heritage, generations, and belonging. With origins in a family history shaped by farming and cultivation, the works revolve around what we carry with us—in the body, in history, and across time.
Through a visual language of repetition, mirroring, and organic forms, a narrative unfolds about inherited traces and the possibility of change. The female figures appear both as carriers and as those who can let go.
Under the sky, above the earth, is a reflection on what we inherit and what we pass on.
