Emil Langberg Kock (b. 1999, DK) is a Danish visual artist living and working in Aarhus. His practice explores the intersection between dream and reality, unfolding through expressive, layered compositions that merge bodies, emotional states, and symbolic elements such as the moon, waves, and shifting landscapes. Working intuitively with acrylic on canvas and recycled cardboard, Kock builds visual narratives that oscillate between construction and deconstruction, where forms continuously dissolve and reappear.
Drawing on personal experiences of youth, relationships, love, loss, and longing, his work develops a poetic and often ambivalent visual language that invites multiple simultaneous readings. References to art history and contemporary subcultures coexist in a practice that is both deeply personal and culturally attuned. He has collaborated with institutions and initiatives including Psykiatrifonden, GRISK, Aarhus Volume, and NorthSide Festival, and in 2025 he was named Artist of the Year by Aarhus Rådhus Kunstforening in connection with the Aarhus Festuge Street Art Festival.
