Art Barns is a new museum institution that will exhibit a permanent collection of large-scale art installations created by the world's most significant contemporary artists in the impressive cultural-historical building heritage that exists across the Danish islands of Lolland-Falster.
We will take visitors on a journey across the islands to experience the connection between 250 years of cultural history and outstanding art installations from the 21st century.
We will gradually open Art Barns across the islands of Lolland-Falster. Our ambition is to open 15-20 unique Art Barns, and we will open the first handful before the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link connects Denmark and Germany in 2029.
